The region's most fabulous castle, Kaiserburg, was one of the most important buildings of its kind, the forefront of defense, in the Holy Roman Empire, dating its origins to the 11th century. If you decide to take a walk uphill, you will be rewarded not only by the magnificent structures of this fortress but also with a great panoramic view of the old town that you will experience as the history speaks to you with the walls of Kaiserburg Castle.

Weissgerbergasse

Take a relaxing walk down Weissgerbergasse to feel the spirit of Nuremberg. With Albrecht Dürer’s House on one end, it is fully preserved, untouched by the horrors of war. The neat buildings that you will pass as you walk along will try to remind you of the history of the city.

Nazi Party Rally Grounds

This is one of these places that are worth visiting, if only for the sole reason to remind ourselves of the mistakes that we made in the past so that we hopefully don't repeat them in the future. It is not the most exciting site that you will ever visit, but the value of seeing it lies elsewhere.

St. Lorenz Church

St. Lorenz Church, a magnificent Lutheran gothic-style church, very well preserved and beautifully restored, will amaze you with its grandiosity and will attract you with its personality. The art inside of the church is astounding, and you will be fascinated by some of them, even if you are not an art freak in your everyday life.

Albrecht Dürer’s House

See the house that the great German artist occupied five centuries ago. Even though the house bears little resemblance to how it looked like in Dürer’s times, there are some very lovely expositions there that are worth seeing.
