Those who want to travel while expecting a baby are referred to as pregnant passengers. The admission of pregnant passengers to flights varies according to airline policies. Some airlines may request a medical report. Please check the rules regarding the pregnant passengers before buying a ticket.

Do I Need a Medical Report to Fly while I am Pregnant?

We do not expect a medical report for mothers-to-be to fly with Pegasus Airlines. As long they obey the rules, flying would not cause any harm during pregnancy.

Can I Fly During Pregnancy?

Our pregnant passengers can travel by plane as long as they comply with the pregnancy policies. According to the policies defined by Pegasus Airlines, flying until the 36th week of pregnancy, would not cause any harm in single pregnancies. In multiple pregnancies, the duration is restricted to 32 weeks. We are unable to accept passengers who are beyond these weeks even if they have a medical report. Additionally, we recommend that our pregnant passengers consult professionals to get approval before their flights.

Recommendations for Pregnant Passengers

  • Before you go on a flight, you can avoid stress by getting a medical report saying, "Labour cannot begin within 72 hours."
  • On long flights, you can go for a walk on the aisle, with the support from the cabin crew. This can stimulate blood circulation and prevent swelling in the wrists.
  • You can reduce the stress in the muscles by doing stretching moves while seated.
  • Don't forget to consume enough fluids during the flight. Dehydration can cause discomfort in pregnancy.
  • Mothers-to-be are also subjected to all check-in rules. It is recommended to be early at the airport to prevent any possible inconvenience.
