Cologne Friedenslauf

Cologne runs for peace for the 28th time. Köln

Who amongst us wouldn’t want the world to live in peace, with a carnival spirit in every city? Since 1988, Cologne has been expressing this wish, not just in words, but also in actions. Cologne Friedenslauf, which translates as the Cologne Peace Run, is an action that says no to war across the world and stands against nuclear armament. Thousands of sports lovers, joining together for peace, will once more be running around a 10km track in Cologne in pursuit of a more habitable world. Isn’t it a great idea to breathe in the air of Cologne and join in this kind of race at the same time? If you have already started dreaming about heading for Cologne and joining the Friedenslauf, we should tell you now: unfortunately, you need to do a bit more than just arrive at the Cologne Peace Run and say, ‘I’m here.’ The principal condition for running at Cologne Friedenslauf is to provide proof that you have previously joined a similar event. If you can say, ‘Yes, I’ve joined one before,’ no-one can stop you. Come on and pound the streets of Cologne for peace!
