Transportation from Ağrı Ahmed-i Hani Havalimanı to City Center

Ağrı Ahmed-i Hani Airport is located 8 kilometers away from the city center. You can get to the city center with the municipality bus, taxi and car.

Municipality buses are available at 02.00 PM and 04.00 PM. Ticket costs 3 Turkish Liras and takes approximately 15 minutes.

There are taxis in Ağrı Ahmed-i Hani Airport that can take you to the city center. They are available for every arrival. Taxis cost 4 liras per kilometer.

Public Transport in Ağrı

Ağrı does not have an extensive transportation network. You can use the bus, small bus called “dolmuş” and taxi to get around in the city.

Most of the transportation is relying on small busses. They have fixed routes and fares.

You can also use taxis in order to travel around the city. Ağrı is city center is fairly small so it should not take more than 25 liras to get anywhere in the city.

Ishak Pasha Palace

İshak Pasha Palace located in 5 kilometers east of Doğubeyazıt district. The palace is one of the most prominent examples of Ottoman architecture. The palace is so huge that it took decades to complete in 1784. World’s first central heating was installed in the İshak Pasha Palace.

Mount Ararat

Mount Ararat is Türkiye’s highest peak and has great facilities for hiking, mountain climbing and sightseeing.
